| Tony lives in Ballytrasna, Tuam, County Galway where he has been involved with Community Games since the early 1970s. Tuam Area: 1971 Tuam became involved with Community Games through Tuam Community Council. 1973 Secretary of Area, Chairman of Tuam Community Games for up to 20. years, Currently Tuam Area Chairman. Galway County: 1986 - 1991 County Vice Chairman. 1991 - 2006 Chairman of Galway County Community Games. 2009 Vice Chairman of County. 1987 - 2007 Galway NEC & NEAC Delegate. 1978 - 2006 Galway County Manager at National Finals. Connaught Province: 1994, 1999 & 2004 Connaught Chairperson (Connaught Board 2010). 2006 - to date Connaught President. National Community Games: 2009 National Board of Directors. Additional Information: Involved with Athletics governing Body, BLE, organising National Road Races with National and International Athletes. Volunteer with the Special Olympics World Games 2003, both as member of the Galway Host City for Great Britain and Volunteer at RDS and Simmonscourt. Chairman and Vice Chairman of the National Rounder's Association. Played football with Corofin GAA Club up to Minor level winning a county medal with same. |
